Senior Forward Deployed Engineer - Enterprise AI

About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer - Enterprise AI remote to join our innovative team at UMATR. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an Enterprise AI Series-B startup that is deploying production AI agents within Fortune 500 companies. As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, you will have the chance to work directly with customers, ship real systems, and take full ownership of what goes into production.

What You'll Do

• Design and deploy multi-step AI agents that utilize tools, APIs, and structured workflows to automate real business processes.
• Build integrations between AI platforms and enterprise systems such as CRMs, ticketing tools, telephony platforms, data warehouses, and internal tooling.
• Implement prompt pipelines, tool calling, memory, and orchestration logic using modern agent frameworks.
• Work directly with enterprise engineering teams and senior stakeholders to transform vague requirements into production systems.
• Own reliability in production, focusing on observability, failure handling, human-in-the-loop workflows, and performance tuning.
• Feed real deployment learnings back into the core product, including patterns, integrations, and reusable architecture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production backend or distributed systems, with enterprise environments being a significant plus.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is highly desirable.
• Strong hands-on experience with LLM-based systems in production, not just prototypes.
• Experience building integrations across APIs, webhooks, authentication systems, and legacy enterprise stacks.
• Comfortable writing production code and making pragmatic architecture decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain what AI can and cannot do in a real production setting.

Nice to Have

• Fluency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
