Senior System Architect - Trading Infrastructure

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior System Architect to join our team remotely. This role is pivotal in shaping the architecture of our trading infrastructure as we transition from legacy systems to a modern environment. You will play a key role in defining the technical direction and tooling, including the use of Rust, while ensuring that our systems are high-performance and scalable.

What You'll Do

• Map existing systems and define a target-state architecture for our trading infrastructure.
• Establish governance frameworks and lead the adoption of AI tooling across engineering and trading functions.
• Engage in hands-on development, balancing architecture and coding responsibilities.
• Define architecture principles and standards that align with the firm's strategic goals.
• Take ownership of system migrations and help shape a future-state blueprint aligned with our 2030 objectives.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background in performance-critical systems.
• Proven ability to navigate undocumented or legacy codebases, particularly in C++, Python, MSSQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience with system migrations is a significant advantage.
• Architecture experience with a track record of working autonomously.
• Able to manage complex stakeholder communication across development teams, traders, and business.

Nice to Have

• Depth in databases, Kubernetes, low-latency systems, distributed systems, or messaging platforms.
• Familiarity with Linux infrastructure and DevOps practices.
• AI experience is beneficial but not a hard requirement.
