Senior Software Engineer - JVM & Spring Boot (Remote)

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative team at N26, where you'll have the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to our mission of providing secure and compliant banking services. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with your Tech Lead to architect new features, ensuring they are delivered with the highest quality.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software in a thriving environment.
• Mentor junior team members, ensuring code quality through pull requests and providing guidance when needed.
• Stay updated with the latest technology trends and share your insights during our Get Stuff Done Days.
• Work within a cross-functional team to uphold the highest technical standards across our products.
• Contribute to the development of robust customer identity verification and proactive risk management systems.

Requirements

• Experience in developing software using a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems (Kotlin experience is a plus).
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres.
• Experience with modern cloud architecture, preferably with AWS.
• Full professional proficiency in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience in agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
• Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker.
