Senior Software Engineer - Financial Infrastructure (Remote)

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Financial Infrastructure (Remote) to join our innovative team at Netaro. In this role, you'll be instrumental in building a robust financial infrastructure that enhances the speed and efficiency of transactions in the financial sector.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement core financial infrastructure systems that handle atomic multi-currency transactions.
• Own the reliability of systems across various third-party providers, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
• Build asynchronous infrastructure that maintains reconciliation, recovery, and auditability.
• Develop user-facing features using Next.js and TypeScript, taking full ownership of the frontend and backend.
• Establish high standards for code quality, type safety, and testing practices.
• Make critical architectural decisions that impact the development process and product outcomes.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript, with a deep understanding of their ecosystems.
• Experience with relational databases and asynchronous systems.
• Ability to design systems with a focus on data models, service boundaries, and potential failure modes.
• High standards for correctness, type safety, and testing methodologies.
• Experience shipping products that real users depend on, with a sense of ownership over their functionality.
• Comfortable using AI tools effectively in the development process.
• Fintech experience is a plus but not required.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS ECS Fargate, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with building financial systems and understanding of compliance requirements.
