Head of People & Operations - Remote Gaming Company
About the Role
We are looking for a Head of People & Operations to help structure and scale a growing gaming company. This remote Head of People & Operations role sits at the intersection of operations, people leadership, and organizational design, working closely with the CEO to build the systems, processes, and leadership practices that enable teams to execute effectively. We are looking for a highly operational leader with strong experience in gaming and technology product environments.
We’re still a small company, but growing fast. Instead of investing heavily in social media presence, we focus on execution and product. At the same time, we’re financially secure, backed by VC funding. We're open for EU candidates only, but the position is fully remote.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain a clear organizational operating model supporting company growth.
- Establish operational rhythms, governance standards, and decision-making frameworks.
- Define and optimize internal processes and workflows across the organization.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across product, engineering, and operations teams.
- Improve prioritization, accountability, and follow-through across teams.
- Introduce operational metrics and continuous improvement practices.
- Oversee operational logistics including vendor coordination, internal initiatives, and company events where relevant.
- Identify and remove organizational bottlenecks that impact execution and collaboration.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in the gaming industry.
- Proven experience working in the gaming industry (game development studio, publishing organization, or live game operations environment).
- Strong understanding of collaboration between engineering, design, product, and operations teams in game development environments.
- Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments commonly used in game production and technology teams.
- Experience designing or implementing operational frameworks such as PMO structures, governance models, or cross-team delivery processes.
- Experience improving operational efficiency and organizational workflows.
- Experience designing or improving candidate and employee lifecycle processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and early employee experience.
- Experience supporting internal communication, employer branding, or organizational culture initiatives.
Nice to Have
- IT Service Management or operational monitoring experience.
- Operational security or risk awareness.
