Senior Facility/Support Engineer - Hybrid Role
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Facility/Support Engineer to join our team at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS). This Senior Facility/Support Engineer remote position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to national security through engineering and operational support. You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with a team of skilled engineers and technicians dedicated to maintaining and enhancing our facility's capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development, tracking, and closeout of change control documentation.
- Manage the preparation of red-line drawings following post-construction activities.
- Oversee validation of physical configuration and update system documents for Configuration Management (CM).
- Assist with the receipt, review, and distribution of design documents.
- Support nuclear safety activities, including preparation and review of material-at-risk (MAR) calculations.
- Develop knowledge of various facility operations, systems, and processes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to early career engineers and technicians.
- Monitor work and provide direction to skilled technicians and support personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering program accredited by ABET or a Calculus-based STEM degree.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in engineering, with a focus on nuclear facility operations.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures effectively.
- Knowledge of instrumentation & control, electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical components.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical documentation.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.

- Experience with Configuration Management (CM) processes.
- Familiarity with nuclear safety regulations and standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
