Senior Software Engineer - AI-Powered Solutions

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Altur, where we are building an ultra-efficient call center powered purely by AI agents. As a Senior Software Engineer remote, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product architecture and engineering culture as we scale. You’ll work directly with the founders and have the opportunity to ship code that impacts hundreds of thousands of conversations every day.

What You'll Do

• Design the architecture for real-time voice pipelines handling thousands of concurrent calls.
• Own the reliability and scaling of core infrastructure, including Kafka event pipelines and telephony services.
• Integrate LLMs into production systems with low latency and high accuracy.
• Help build engineering culture from the ground up, including code review standards and CI/CD practices.
• Engage directly with banking clients to understand their constraints and translate that into product decisions.
• Assemble a world-class engineering team, influencing hiring and operational practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer with a focus on Python and SQL databases.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Proven ability to design, build, and scale secure production systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD best practices and experience with Docker and Git.
• Experience with real-time voice or telephony systems is a big plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Django and Postgres.
• Proficiency in Go.
• Experience using Apache Kafka in production environments.
