Senior Security Architect - Satellite Navigation Systems

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Security Architect for Satellite Navigation Systems to join our dynamic team at GMV. In this role, you will lead a consolidated team in the space sector, focusing on the design of ground segments for satellite navigation systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Galileo project and other complex missions, ensuring the security architecture is robust and effective.

What You'll Do

• Define the security architecture of ground segments, including control centers and interfaces with various entities.
• Collaborate actively with other architects in engineering, networks, hardware, software, and operations to ensure a cohesive security approach.
• Generate and review security documentation such as design plans and technical notes.
• Work closely with the cybersecurity team to define the security model, including operating system choices and hardening activities.
• Act as a liaison between the cybersecurity team and other technical teams to ensure alignment on security measures.
• Identify potential risks and system threats, contributing to the overall security strategy evolution.
• Provide technical support to segment teams and clients, including participation in reviews and formal test milestones.
• Engage with clients such as the European Space Agency (ESA) and subcontractors across Europe.

Requirements

• Strong technical background with studies in relevant fields.
• Experience in security architectures of complex IT systems.
• Proficiency in secure network designs and cybersecurity practices.
• Experience in risk management and virtualization architectures.
• Good command of English is essential.

Nice to Have

• Background in the space sector is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with satellite navigation systems.
