Senior RF Design Engineer - Remote Opportunities

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior RF Design Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge RF and Microwave hardware design, contributing to critical defense technologies. As a Senior RF Design Engineer remote, you will collaborate with a team of experts to develop innovative solutions that support radar and datalink applications for tactical missile programs.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop transmitters, receivers, or exciters for RF applications.
• Create circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signals.
• Conduct component characterization and module verification in a lab environment.
• Test and handle sensitive RF hardware to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform schematic capture and RF routing in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of eight years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in RF design and fabrication, RF testing, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with simulation tools such as Mentor DX Designer, HFSS, SystemVue, or ADS.
• Strong background in designing for challenging mechanical constraints and extreme environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.

Nice to Have

• Experience in mentorship or technical oversight for junior engineers.
• Background in architecting and defining requirements for complex RF products.
• Experience with high-speed data converter testing and characterization.
• Knowledge of filter design and fabrication.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Matlab or Python.
