Senior Product Designer - AI Focused Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer - AI Focused Remote to join our innovative team at Luma. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of human-machine interaction through design excellence. As a key member of our team, you will drive the design vision from concept to execution, utilizing AI as an integral part of your process.

What You'll Do

• Own features end-to-end, leading the design process for major features from initial concept to high-fidelity prototypes.
• Design novel interactions that go beyond static screens, creating intuitive and powerful user experiences.
• Build functional prototypes with AI, collaborating closely with engineering to ensure shippable features.
• Uphold a high bar for craft, producing exceptionally high-quality visual designs and interactions.
• Drive work forward through ambiguity, making decisions with incomplete information in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Collaborate across disciplines, working closely with engineers, product managers, and AI researchers to shape product strategy.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your design process and outcomes.
• Experience integrating AI into your design work, showcasing how it has influenced your design outcomes.
• Proficiency in building functional prototypes using AI coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
• Ability to articulate your design thinking, including prioritization and iteration processes.
• Strong generalist skills across visual design, interaction design, and product thinking.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing for complex creative software, such as video or photo editors.
• World-class interaction design skills, with a portfolio showcasing fluid micro-interactions and complex state transitions.
