Senior Technical Project Manager - Growth for Crypto

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager - Growth to join our dynamic team at Kraken. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere in the world while driving the growth of our innovative crypto solutions. As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our customer onboarding processes and compliance workflows.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional projects focused on customer onboarding, identity verification, KYC/AML workflows, and compliance tooling.
• Develop and maintain custom automations, integrations, and reporting pipelines utilizing the Atlassian REST API and/or MCP.
• Design and implement multi-system workflow automations connecting Jira, Confluence, and third-party tools, including n8n workflow development.
• Coordinate technical integrations with third-party KYC and sanctions screening providers, ensuring quality and adherence to SLAs.
• Manage project plans, roadmaps, dashboards, and release timelines with clear dependency mapping and risk tracking.
• Facilitate standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and planning sessions, focusing on continuous improvement.
• Align stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Compliance, Legal, and Security with tailored communication strategies.
• Partner with external vendors to define requirements and ensure compliance with technical standards.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Technical Project Management within fast-paced, cross-functional software organizations.
• Development background with experience as a software or data engineer; ability to read PRs and understand system design.
• Proficiency in using the Atlassian API or MCP for building automations and custom integrations.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, Bash, or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience with AI and process automation, particularly in designing AI-assisted workflows.
• Proven ability to model team capacity and track velocity against roadmap commitments.
• Fluency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, adapting to the context as needed.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying technical complexity for diverse audiences.

Nice to Have

• Experience with n8n for building multi-step workflow automations.
• Familiarity with KYC, AML, or sanctions screening platforms.
• Knowledge of onboarding compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience managing complex third-party vendor integrations.
• Background in FinTech or regulated industries with a focus on data sensitivity and security.
