Senior Production Manager - Limestone Operations (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Production Manager - Limestone Operations to lead our limestone production site and overburden removal project. This is a senior leadership role that offers the opportunity to work remotely while overseeing critical operations in the mining sector. As a Senior Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of production targets.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage all mining operations to achieve production and overburden targets.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, WHS, and environmental requirements.
• Oversee load and haul, drill and blast, crushing, screening, and dispatch activities.
• Drive a strong safety culture through proactive risk management and leadership.
• Plan, schedule, and allocate resources across multiple operational areas.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of employees and contractors.
• Manage workforce planning, training, and performance reviews.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships with contractors, suppliers, and regulators.
• Monitor operational performance, costs, and efficiencies to meet business objectives.
• Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in open-cut mining operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong background in quarrying or mining operations.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and manage contractors in complex environments.
• Solid understanding of WHS legislation and environmental compliance.
• Strong operational and financial acumen (P&L awareness).
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
• High level of organisational and leadership capability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Exposure to mining software (e.g., Surpac, Propeller) is desirable.

Nice to Have

• Experience with remote team management.
• Knowledge of advanced mining technologies.
• Certifications in project management or related fields.
