Major Account Executive - Remote Role for AI-Powered DevSecOps

About the Role

We are seeking a Major Account Executive to join our remote team at GitLab. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of strategic customers in the Alps region, helping them maximize the value of GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform. As a Major Account Executive, you will leverage your expertise to drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction, making this a pivotal role in our organization.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and support GitLab’s major accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Oversee the end-to-end sales process, engaging with Solutions Architects, Customer Success Managers, and other resources.
  • Utilize solution selling techniques to identify business potential and build long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct thorough account management activities to ensure successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products.
  • Develop account plans tailored to customer needs, utilizing a consultative approach to address business issues.
  • Communicate effectively with C-Level executives, presenting solutions that align with their strategic goals.
  • Provide feedback to the product team based on customer insights and experiences.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis on wins and losses, sharing lessons learned with the team.

Requirements

  • Fluent in French and German with full professional proficiency.
  • Proven track record of success in selling to complex organizations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly with C-Level executives.
  • Experience with solutions selling and positioning value based on customer needs.
  • Deep understanding of Git, Software Development Tools, and Application Lifecycle Management.
  • Ability to travel as needed and comply with the company’s travel policy.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in AI or DevSecOps environments.
  • Familiarity with GitLab’s products and services.
  • Previous experience in a remote work environment.
