Senior Network Engineer - Remote Opportunity with Relocation Support

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Leidos. This Senior Network Engineer remote position supports a critical network program, providing you with the opportunity to enhance your IT & Network Engineering career while enjoying relocation assistance if needed.

What You'll Do

  • Deploy network system upgrades at CONUS and OCONUS field sites as a Senior Network Engineer remote.
  • Act as the site focal point for the program, coordinating installations and providing on-site support for troubleshooting and problem resolutions.
  • Perform network maintenance and upgrades, ensuring compliance with standards and documentation.
  • Assist with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning.
  • Utilize your expertise in network infrastructure to drive improvements and provide compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field with 12+ years of experience, or a Master’s with 10+ years.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
  • Demonstrated expertise in network infrastructure, including Juniper SSR architecture and configuration.
  • Proficiency in SD-WAN technologies and Cisco IOS/IOS-XE operating systems.
  • Strong understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
  • Experience with network virtualization and software-defined networking.
  • Familiarity with network automation tools and WAN optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
  • Familiarity with VoIP and unified communications technologies.
  • Understanding of containerization and microservices architectures.
