Senior Network Engineer - Cloud Networking Expert (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our team at SolarWinds, a people-first company dedicated to enriching lives through innovative technology solutions. This Senior Network Engineer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the evolution of our global corporate and engineering network as we transition to a cloud-first architecture.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with world-class experts to modernize our network infrastructure by deploying and optimizing the Cato SASE platform, connecting global offices and remote users.
• Design and manage high-availability connectivity between on-premise and cloud networks, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
• Work closely with the InfoSec team to implement Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and other security policies within the SASE stack.
• Optimize the network for Unified Communications (VoIP/Video), focusing on enhancing collaboration across global locations.
• Leverage Infrastructure as Code principles using tools like Terraform to automate network policy management.
• Act as a Tier 3 expert, addressing complex routing, switching, and connectivity issues that impact our users and infrastructure.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Cato Networks or similar SD-WAN solutions.
• Deep understanding of AWS Networking (VPCs, Transit Gateway) or Azure Networking (VNet).
• Expert-level knowledge of L2 and L3 protocols in hybrid environments.
• Strong experience in network security practices, including Next-Gen Firewalls and IPsec/TLS tunnels.
• 4+ years of experience in Network Engineering, with at least 2 years focused on cloud-native or software-defined networking.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with SolarWinds monitoring products.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Python.
• Relevant certifications like CCNP/CCIE or AWS Certified Advanced Networking.
