Electrical Engineering Manager 1 - Remote Opportunities
About the Role
We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager 1 to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to lead the electrical system level design engineering, integration, and testing of launch vehicles for the Sentinel program. As an Electrical Engineering Manager, you will coordinate and support the daily activities of the electrical engineering team while acting as a technical lead and mentor. What You'll Do
- Lead the electrical engineering team in the design, integration, and testing of launch vehicles.
- Coordinate with program managers and engineering leads to ensure the right processes and tools are in place.
- Manage engineering activities, workload, and performance management processes.
- Direct projects and responsibilities of the engineering leads and engineers.
- Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews of team members.
- Identify and manage critical skills development within the design team.
- Train and mentor early career engineers in electrical engineering and testing standards.
- Implement Lean/agile solutions to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with at least five years of related experience, or a master's degree with three years of experience.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in circuit analysis and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Root Cause and Fault Trees analyses.
- Ability to perform data analysis to identify trends in system performance.
- Understanding of electrical engineering technical standards.
- Proven experience in managing internal relationships and prioritizing tasks.
