Senior Native Mobile Engineer - iOS & Android for Automotive

About the Role

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Native Mobile Engineer (iOS & Android) - Enterprise Automotive to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for those looking to make a significant impact in the automotive industry by developing enterprise-grade mobile applications. As a Senior Native Mobile Engineer, you will lead the charge in creating high-performance digital experiences that seamlessly integrate with enterprise backend systems. This role is based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, and while it requires onsite work in Torrance, CA, we also offer visa sponsorship for qualified candidates.

What You'll Do

• Lead architectural decisions across mobile platforms, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability.
• Guide and mentor a team of mobile developers in both Android and iOS environments.
• Develop native applications using Kotlin for Android and Swift for iOS.
• Implement CarPlay and Android Auto integrations to enhance user experiences.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and handle authentication using OAuth and JWT.
• Conduct code reviews and optimize application performance.
• Support production troubleshooting and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Explore and implement mobile security best practices to safeguard applications.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in mobile and smartwatch app development.
• Proficiency in Native Android (Kotlin/Java) and Native iOS (Swift/Objective-C).
• Experience with REST API integration and authentication methods (OAuth & JWT).
• Familiarity with CarPlay and Android Auto functionalities.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with MQTT and real-time communication protocols.

Nice to Have

• Experience with React Native or Flutter frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices for mobile applications.
• Understanding of mobile security best practices.
• Agile/Scrum experience in a collaborative environment.
• Automotive domain experience or background in Big 4 consulting.

What We Offer

• Competitive salary range of $55.00 – $62.00 per hour, translating to an annual salary of approximately $114,000 to $129,000.
