Senior Cyber Systems Engineer - Remote Opportunity

What You'll Do

• Support and enhance the architecture and design of baked-in cybersecurity requirements and protections.
• Plan, implement, and perform assessments of allocated security controls, policies, and processes compliance.
• Translate allocated or modified security controls into system and segment-level requirements.
• Provide cybersecurity system engineering implementation guidance and oversight to technical teams.
• Review and assess stakeholder security objectives, protection needs, and concerns.
• Identify, quantify, and evaluate the costs/benefits of security functions to inform engineering trade-offs.
• Author, support, and maintain cybersecurity program documentation and RMF package documentation.
• Review document findings and ensure scheduling and completion of scanning/assessment tasks on Program assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 10 years; PhD with 8 years. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required at the time of application.
• Direct experience developing RMF assessment and authorization documentation.
• Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• Experience with RMF (NIST 800-37) accreditation functions.
• Experience assessing the Program's system security posture in compliance with customer requirements.
• Experience developing Security CONOPs and SSPs.
• Possession of Security+ Certification or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification.

Nice to Have

• Expertise with Systems Security Engineering as defined in NIST SP 800-160.
• Experience working with DOORS and CAMEO.
• Experience in security-related tool suites in DevSecOps pipelines.
• Subject matter expert in configuring and deploying Cross Domain Solutions (CDS).
• Experience with cloud security platforms.
