Olympic Region Manager - Nonprofit Leadership Role
About the Role
We're hiring an Olympic Region Manager to join Discover Your Northwest (DYNW) in a remote capacity. This role is essential for overseeing operations across multiple retail locations in the Olympic Peninsula, ensuring that our mission of promoting public lands is fulfilled. As the Olympic Region Manager, you'll be at the forefront of enhancing visitor experiences and fostering stewardship of these beautiful areas.
What You'll Do
- Oversee retail operations, ensuring effective management at various locations across the Olympic Peninsula.
- Maintain productive relationships with public land managers, including the Forest Service and National Park Service.
- Provide comprehensive resource information to visitors, enhancing their experience.
- Collaborate with DYNW’s CEO and Director of Retail Operations to ensure operational consistency and sustainability.
- Manage stock ordering and distribution, ensuring high performance at retail operations.
- Conduct training and evaluation of staff, fostering a high standard of customer service.
- Perform annual inventory and manage cash handling processes.
- Engage in ongoing site visits to ensure operational excellence at all locations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in nonprofit management or retail operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with partners and the public.
- Ability to manage multiple locations and staff effectively.
- Experience with Salesforce and digital point of sale systems preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between locations.
- Experience in data reporting and inventory management.
- Commitment to the mission of DYNW and passion for public lands.

- Experience working with federal agencies.
- Background in environmental education or stewardship.
- Familiarity with outdoor recreation and public land management.

- Competitive salary range of $80,000 - $90,000 per year.
