Senior Manufacturing Manager - Aerospace Engineering

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager to join our team at GE Aerospace in Madisonville, Kentucky. This Senior Manufacturing Manager remote position offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of manufacturing engineers and process technicians, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence in our production processes. What You'll Do

• Define and control production processes, including tooling and equipment.
• Validate design specifications and ensure the effective application of new products and tools on the shop floor.
• Contribute to strategy and policy development, ensuring successful delivery within your area of responsibility.
• Utilize your technical expertise for data analysis to support operational recommendations.
• Act as a resource for colleagues, providing guidance and support to less experienced team members.
• Develop persuasion skills to influence others on critical topics within the field.
• Lead projects aimed at enhancing manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Engage in LEAN transformation initiatives to optimize workflows and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Project management experience is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience documenting, planning, marketing, and executing programs.
• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes.
• Ability to challenge existing processes and think critically.
