Senior Test Automation Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our team at Anduril Industries, a leading defense technology company. This Senior Test Automation Engineer remote position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that transforms military capabilities. You will play a crucial role in designing and delivering test systems for our electronic products, ensuring quality and reliability in our innovative defense solutions.

What You'll Do

• Manage a small team of Test Automation Engineers to deliver end-to-end test solutions for customers.
• Define, own, and execute end-of-line test plans for new products and features in collaboration with firmware, software, and hardware design teams.
• Design and implement test strategies that optimize product safety, reliability, risk mitigation, and FMEA coverage.
• Conduct hands-on testing and rework of PCBA and electrical system components as necessary.
• Analyze data and communicate results clearly, collaborating with design engineers to resolve product issues found during testing.
• Develop next-generation test automation hardware systems for fast and repeatable testing of products.
• Oversee purchasing, building, integration, and commissioning of functional testers.
• Support board bring-up and bench validation as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience designing functional test equipment.
• 5+ years of experience in schematic capture and/or PCBA layout; experience with Altium Designer is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in scripting languages (C/C++/C#, Python, MATLAB); experience in LabVIEW is a plus.
• Advanced experience with computer hardware communication bus protocols (USB, I2C, SPI, etc.).
• Understanding of lab safety protocols and familiarity with measurement analysis techniques.
• Experience with source code revision and control; GitHub experience is a plus.
• Must be eligible for a Security Clearance.

Nice to Have

• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with RF test equipment and testing RF components.
• Hands-on experience with complex networking equipment and protocols.
