Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer remote position offers the opportunity to shape and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure that supports AI and SaaS products. You will lead architectural strategy, implement best practices for cloud operations, and drive automation across CI/CD and SDLC pipelines.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Define and enforce best practices for infrastructure as code (IaC), container orchestration, and automated deployments.
• Lead automation of SDLC and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate development and delivery.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud architecture, containerization, observability, and high-availability systems.
• Lead incident response, post-mortems, and continuous improvement initiatives for infrastructure reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to align infrastructure strategy with business objectives.
• Identify and mitigate risks, proactively closing gaps before they impact operations.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Expert-level AWS skills, including EC2, ELB, ASG, RDS, S3, SQS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation, CDK, and Route 53.
• Experience with Linux administration, networking, VPNs, firewalls, and multi-region cloud environments.
• Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code, container orchestration, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python, Bash, or Ansible.
• Strong understanding of cloud monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Azure Monitor).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical tradeoffs for stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Azure experience, serverless architectures, high-availability architectures, and compliance knowledge (SOC, ISO, GDPR).
