Senior Backend Developer - AWS Focus (Remote)

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team at Soft Spect GmbH. This remote position focuses on AWS technologies, allowing you to contribute to innovative cloud-based projects that deliver exceptional user experiences.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable and maintainable backend solutions using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Develop and deploy serverless functions using AWS Lambda, integrating with DynamoDB, API Gateway, and S3.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs for seamless front-end integration.
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity using PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to guarantee code quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development processes.
• Collaborate with our DevOps team to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure adherence to security best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional backend development experience, with at least 3 years focused on AWS cloud services.
• Proven expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, and related services.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in writing comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with containerization (Docker).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
