Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for building and running large-scale data and machine learning systems, focusing on operational ML/AI and geospatial data pipelines. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will own the full lifecycle of machine learning projects, from data ingestion to model deployment and monitoring.

What You'll Do

• Take ownership of the end-to-end AI/ML lifecycle, focusing on complex data and model deployment.
• Implement and integrate large-scale, agent-based systems, building solutions from the ground up.
• Establish observability for pipelines, models, and agents, ensuring robust monitoring.
• Collaborate with product and customer teams to drive revenue and enhance product offerings.
• Iterate quickly from initial concepts to production-ready solutions.

Requirements

• Strong experience with distributed data processing, particularly with Spark and SQL.
• Proven expertise in building production machine learning systems with large datasets.
• Experience designing and deploying task-oriented AI agents.
• Proficiency in cloud services related to data, compute, and ML.
• Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with technical teams.

Nice to Have

• Startup experience or experience growing projects from 0 to production.
• Familiarity with large geospatial datasets and indexing strategies.
• Experience with operational AI agents and fine-tuning LLM models.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and containerization.
