Senior Business Intelligence Expert - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Expert to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional with a passion for data and a proven track record in BI. As a Senior Business Intelligence Expert, you will have the opportunity to work directly with a major client's IT team, focusing on ETL processes, data quality, and dashboard creation.

What You'll Do

• Build and optimize ETL pipelines to ensure efficient data processing.
• Design and develop impactful dashboards and reports using PowerBI or QlikSense.
• Identify and resolve database design and performance issues.
• Implement data governance practices to enhance data quality and accessibility.
• Model data architecture to streamline data flows and improve performance.
• Manage and operate EDW, Data Lakes, and Lakehouses.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies such as Data Virtualization and Big Data.
• Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and document technical specifications.
• Perform rigorous data quality tests to maintain high standards.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in IT or a related field.
• At least 11 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence.
• Minimum of 7 years working with data warehouses and SQL databases.
• Proven experience as a BI developer with a focus on ETL, reporting, and dashboard creation.
• Strong background in data quality management for at least 5 years.
• Experience with Python for at least 5 years, specifically in data extraction and transformation.
• Familiarity with PowerBI or QlikSense for 3 years.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Dagster or Airflow for 3 years.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to Have

• Experience with MS Fabric and SAP Business Objects.
• Familiarity with AI/ML analytics and predictive insights.
• Knowledge of Cloud BI and Linked Data.
• Fluency in French is a plus.
