Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our remote team at Marathon TS. This role is focused on building, deploying, and standardizing production machine learning modules within a large-scale engineering environment. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work independently, write clean production code, and help deploy and support ML systems in the cloud.

What You'll Do

• Build and deploy production machine learning modules and services.
• Write and optimize Python code for model deployment, APIs, and integration.
• Support ML standardization efforts across existing systems and workflows.
• Monitor model performance and help maintain production stability and business continuity.
• Work within cloud environments (GCP preferred) to support scalable ML solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on CI/CD, automation, and deployment best practices.
• Integrate ML systems into enterprise applications and backend services.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• 1+ year of machine learning or data science experience.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Experience deploying ML models or ML-powered systems into production.
• Cloud experience (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable if able to ramp quickly).
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience working with APIs and backend system integrations.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
