About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with a technology division of a global company, focusing on Linux administration and cloud technologies. As a Senior Linux Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in our Infrastructure team, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and contributing to our transition towards cloud solutions.

What You'll Do

• Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters to support our containerized applications.
• Utilize tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Docker for automation and configuration management.
• Work with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS to facilitate our infrastructure's migration to the cloud.
• Collaborate with networking teams to configure firewalls and manage IPtables effectively.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving system issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Document processes and procedures to enhance team efficiency and knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our infrastructure.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience in a Linux administration or infrastructure role.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems, particularly Ubuntu and Debian.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, Puppet, and Docker.
• Familiarity with cloud services, specifically Azure and AWS.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and IPtables.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience with VMware and storage solutions.
• Certifications in Linux administration or cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
