About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This Senior Legal Counsel remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a fixed-term contract for 18–24 months, providing legal guidance and support across various aspects of our operations.

What You'll Do

  • Provide expert legal advice on compliance with GDPR, anti-bribery laws, international sanctions, and money laundering regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements to ensure legal compliance and protect the company's interests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support the company's operations and business development efforts.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to data privacy and compliance.
  • Engage with external legal counsel as needed to address complex legal issues.
  • Support the training and onboarding of staff regarding legal compliance and best practices.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and regulations that may impact the company and advise on necessary actions.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal counsel, preferably in a B2B SaaS or technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of GDPR, compliance, and corporate law.
  • Proven experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

  • Experience in the fintech sector.
  • Familiarity with KYC and data privacy regulations.
  • Previous experience in a remote work environment.
