About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Landscape Architect - Business Development Focus to join Ackerman-Estvold, where you will shape communities and lead growth through impactful design. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while expanding our presence in Idaho, focusing on community-centric projects.
What You'll Do
- Lead and contribute to land planning and landscape design efforts that enhance the built environment.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients to bring design concepts to life.
- Develop site plans, prepare design documents, and produce high-quality visualizations.
- Engage in business development by cultivating client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- Analyze site conditions to inform practical and environmentally responsible designs.
- Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and presentation materials in compliance with regulations.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure construction aligns with design intent.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, urban planning, engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- At least eight years of progressive experience in land planning and development.
- Strong understanding of landscape design principles, construction methods, and regulatory requirements.
- Technical proficiency in AutoCAD (required) and Civil 3D (preferred).
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships and represent the firm professionally.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

- Experience in business development within the landscape architecture field.
- Familiarity with zoning, subdivision, and environmental regulations.
- Previous experience in project management.
