Senior Java Developer - Core Solutions (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be integral to the development of our core solutions that support critical business processes across multiple teams. You will collaborate with a cross-functional Scrum team, ensuring the stability and scalability of our platform.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with Scrum team members on the client's core solution project.
• Participate in Scrum planning sessions to analyze and prioritize work.
• Implement new functionality and code refactors based on detailed specifications.
• Work closely with other developers and UX analysts to enhance user experience.
• Engage in technical design discussions with senior team members.
• Write unit tests for newly developed functionalities.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain high code quality.
• Focus on bug fixing and participate in regular business trips to Belgium every two months.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT.
• At least 3 years of professional experience with Java.
• 1-2 years of experience with .NET / .NET Core.
• Solid experience with Spring / Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of ORM frameworks such as nHibernate.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Good understanding of backend architecture, performance, and security.
• Strong experience with relational databases; PostgreSQL experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Fluent in English (B2 Upper Intermediate).

• Hands-on experience with Angular.
• Experience in the healthcare sector.
