Senior KMS Security Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior KMS Security Engineer to join our team at Phantom. This remote position is crucial for ensuring the security of our crypto-powered finance platform, which is trusted by millions worldwide. As a Senior KMS Security Engineer, you will play a vital role in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, ensuring that our software applications remain secure and reliable.

What You'll Do

• Own critical security infrastructure/services for the company, focusing on Key Management for wallet infrastructure.
• Perform regular security assessments on new projects, infrastructure, and code to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Utilize offensive security techniques to conduct thorough security assessments and investigations.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement secure coding practices and ensure the integrity of cryptographic functions.
• Write detailed reports of your findings and present them to management and technical teams.
• Stay updated with the latest security threats and best practices in the blockchain space.
• Participate in incident response and incident management activities.
• Lead large cross-team projects to enhance security across the organization.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in offensive security techniques, particularly in blockchain technology and cryptography.
• Strong understanding of security risks, vulnerabilities, and concepts in web and mobile applications.
• Proficient in code review for JavaScript & Typescript, with a solid grasp of application security threats.
• Experience working with Key Management Services.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience working as a security software engineer at crypto companies.
• Experience developing key management solutions.
• Familiarity with HSM, trusted computing, and TEEs (AWS Nitro Enclave or Intel SGX).
