Senior Infrastructure Engineer - AI & Cloud Focus

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our innovative team at Aaru. In this Senior Infrastructure Engineer remote position, you will play a crucial role in scaling our computational needs and enhancing the performance of our systems. As part of a small, dedicated team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the field of artificial intelligence and cloud technology.

What You'll Do

• Design and build high-performance and low-latency infrastructure systems to enable Aaru’s engineering organization.
• Optimize and manage reliability for complex data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources.
• Identify inefficiencies or issues in our system design that can be solved through infrastructure improvements.
• Collaborate with the infrastructure team to architect and implement robust solutions.
• Work closely with research teams to transition experiments into production pipelines.

Requirements

• Experience building applications or frameworks that large engineering teams love to use.
• Deep care for performance, developer experience, and reliability.
• Hands-on experience solving engineering problems at the infrastructure level.
• Familiarity with languages that have an algebraic type system.
• Practical experience with networking protocols and their limitations.

Nice to Have

• Strong experience with cloud primitives.
• Understanding of networking protocols (HTTP, TLS, etc.).
• Experience establishing a culture focused on identifying and eliminating bottlenecks in computational pipelines.
