What You'll Do

• Design and implement drivers/APIs that expose hardware functionality to Python.
• Utilize communication protocols such as Modbus and MQTT to bridge software services and devices.
• Manage bootloaders, firmware upgrades, and configuration flashing.
• Conduct unit/component testing using tools like pytest and unittest.
• Engage in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing to ensure system integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies.
• Containerize test environments using Docker for simulation and deployment.
• Document hardware interface specifications and test procedures.

Requirements

• 12 years of experience with a Bachelor’s in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with C++ programming.
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional Scrum team.
• Strong analytical debugging skills and clear communication abilities.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and software development life cycles.

Nice to Have

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite, including Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages.
• Proficient in using DOORS and Cameo for system requirements management.
