Senior Full Stack Software Engineer - Ruby on Rails & React

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Eames Consulting. This remote position is ideal for USA-based candidates who are passionate about leveraging technology to transform the insurance claims industry. As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing scalable and maintainable software systems, primarily focusing on backend development using Ruby on Rails while also contributing to frontend development with React.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain software engineering solutions using Ruby on Rails and React.
• Deliver high-quality code across the stack, ensuring seamless integration between backend services and user-facing components.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and operational teams to shape core functionality and enhance the end-user experience.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to fostering a high-performing engineering culture.
• Write clear technical documentation and specifications to facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Help define engineering best practices and influence team values and workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience, particularly with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong understanding of software design, system architecture, and scalable APIs.
• Willingness to work across the stack, including AWS, React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Proven skills in delivering production-ready software in a startup SaaS environment.
• Curiosity about the Insurtech and AI industry with a desire to drive change.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python, GraphQL, CI/CD, or infrastructure optimization.
• Contributions to open-source or personal technical projects.
