About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager - Biologics to join our team remotely. This role is critical in executing the commercial strategy for USP's portfolio of standards and materials within the biopharmaceutical industry in the United States. As a Business Development Manager - Biologics remote position, you will drive revenue growth and expand market presence, making a significant impact across the biopharmaceutical landscape.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the execution of commercial strategies for USP's biologics portfolio.
  • Achieve revenue and unit growth targets in your assigned territory.
  • Foster and maintain customer relationships at all levels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Technical, and Customer Service to enhance customer experiences.
  • Conduct regular account management and business development visits.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage sales activities and track performance.
  • Identify and unlock opportunities in emerging therapeutic areas such as cell and gene therapies.
  • Attend industry trade shows and conferences to elevate USP's visibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a life sciences discipline with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the life sciences industry.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an account manager in the life sciences sector.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets in pharma and biopharma accounts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.

  • Master's degree in business or science.
  • Experience with regulatory and quality assurance backgrounds.
  • Existing relationships with decision-makers in the pharma/biopharma markets.
