Senior Financial Accountant - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team remotely. This role is crucial for supporting our growth in the Finance & Controlling sector. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will manage ongoing financial accounting tasks, including payment processing and the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with HGB standards.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Handle VAT returns and statistical reporting.
• Collaborate on the ongoing accounting processes and financial statements for European subsidiaries.
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts, including intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with external audits conducted by auditing firms.
• Generate reports for management to support decision-making.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance, with a qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (Certified Accountant).
• Extensive experience in financial accounting.
• Experience with SAP Cloud ERP/S4 is advantageous.
• Proficiency in SAP ByDesign is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office products.
• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
• Good English skills are essential for working in our international team.
