Senior DevOps Engineer - Remote Position at SmartBear

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team at SmartBear, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing our development processes. This Senior DevOps Engineer remote position allows you to collaborate with a global team of talented engineers from Poland, India, and the United States. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure that is observable, stable, and performant, ensuring that our tools continue to empower over 16 million developers worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with development, product, and support teams to design scalable, highly available, and maintainable application infrastructure.
• Help stakeholders understand the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of their solutions.
• Own critical CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), enabling teams to leverage automation and AI to improve development outcomes.
• Implement code, automation tools, custom tools, and scripts as necessary to evolve systems and processes.
• Document existing systems and processes for review by internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role.
• Experience with major public cloud environments, particularly AWS; GCP or Azure is a plus.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
• Strong networking skills and experience with multi-region and cross-account connectivity.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD systems, particularly GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Comfortable with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Familiarity with cloud security, access management, and IAM best practices.
• Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SonarQube, Nexus, Zabbix, or Grafana.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, Java, C/C++, makefiles, or Delphi.
