Senior DevOps/​CloudOps Engineer - Azure Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps/CloudOps Engineer - Azure Remote to join our dynamic team at Nearform. This is a remote position for candidates based in Poland, offering an initial 6-month contract with the potential for extensions. As a key member of our team, you will manage and optimize client cloud environments, ensuring the reliability and performance of infrastructure supporting cloud-based applications.

What You'll Do

• Manage and optimize Azure environments for various client projects.
• Utilize infrastructure as code technologies, primarily Terraform, to automate deployments.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to enhance operational efficiency.
• Implement observability practices across the stack to ensure system reliability.
• Conduct security assessments and maintain security awareness throughout the stack.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Drive technical discussions and advise clients on best practices and approaches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or CloudOps role, ideally in a remote agile environment.
• Proficient in maintaining and optimizing Azure environments.
• Strong experience with infrastructure as code, particularly Terraform.
• Solid PowerShell scripting skills and experience.
• Familiarity with RDBMS and NoSQL technologies for data storage.
• Understanding of observability practices and security assessment frameworks (e.g., SOC2).
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, in English.
• Ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Nice to Have

• Experience with agile methodologies and practices.
• Knowledge of additional cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
