Senior Data Scientist - Remote Role in Healthcare Innovation

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Data Scientist remote to join our dynamic team at Global Medical Response (GMR). In this role, you will blend technical expertise with creativity and curiosity to drive data-driven innovation in emergency medical services (EMS). Your contributions will have a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery, making this position both rewarding and essential.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and deploy predictive, generative, and agentic AI models for healthcare applications.
• Perform advanced analytics and exploratory data analysis (EDA) on structured and unstructured healthcare datasets, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate closely with IT and business teams to identify use cases, define requirements, and deliver impactful solutions.
• Lead machine learning projects across healthcare, GIS, and logistics domains; champion new methodologies and best practices.
• Manage the full lifecycle of AI solutions—from prototyping to production deployment and system integration.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize traditional ML, Generative AI, and Agentic models for continuous improvement.
• Engage with stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in applied machine learning, predictive modeling, and generative AI, preferably with clinical datasets.
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, and Java; solid SQL skills.
• Expertise in ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data manipulation libraries (pandas, dplyr).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Streamlit/Dash, matplotlib, ggplot2, Plotly).
• Familiarity with Generative AI techniques and cloud-based AI/ML platforms (Azure, Databricks).

Nice to Have

• Understanding of statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and time-series forecasting.
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning, ensemble methods, and NLP techniques.
