Senior Data Scientist - Pricing Systems (Remote)

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist - Pricing to join our team at Nivoda. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on a global marketplace for jewelry, connecting retailers and suppliers across diamonds, gemstones, and finished jewelry. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in building the analytical and systems foundation behind pricing across our platform.

What You'll Do

• Build the pricing intelligence system by creating the analytical foundation that powers pricing decisions across the company.
• Develop frameworks and datasets that allow teams to understand price sensitivity, margin impact, and marketplace behavior.
• Design and run pricing experiments to introduce experimentation into pricing decisions.
• Connect pricing across the platform to ensure pricing decisions across teams work together.
• Build the foundations of a pricing engine by partnering with Data and Engineering to move pricing logic into scalable systems.
• Translate complex analysis into clear commercial insights that leaders can act on.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience in pricing analytics, marketplace analytics, or data science roles.
• Strong analytical and modeling skills with experience working with large datasets.
• Experience in running experiments or analyzing pricing elasticity.
• Comfortable working across product, finance, and commercial teams.
• Clear communicator who can translate analytical work into business decisions.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to dynamic pricing systems or pricing engines.
• Experience in e-commerce, fintech, marketplaces, or trading environments.
