Senior Data Analyst - Reinsurance Domain (Remote)

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Data Analyst - Reinsurance Domain (Remote) to join our high-performing consultant team at Toucanberry Tech. In this hands-on role, your data analysis skills and financial acumen will be essential to supporting senior business experts. You'll be moving beyond the limitations of standard tools like Excel to solve complex data challenges in the reinsurance domain.

What You'll Do

• Perform complex data manipulation and analysis to support senior business experts and stakeholders.
• Utilize Python and its data libraries to handle large datasets and automate analytical tasks.
• Design and execute robust data mapping and analysis projects.
• Collaborate with expert teams to understand client needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Work in a fast-paced startup environment, adapting to high-pressure situations.

Requirements

• Proficient in DBT: Transforming raw data in the warehouse into clean, tested, and documented models using SQL.
• Experience with Databricks and recent projects in the reinsurance domain.
• Domain knowledge: Worked within the operations team for an asset management department, understanding asset data like financial securities and trading data within the last 3 years.
• Investment & Financial experience: Familiarity with investment-related projects or working in the reinsurance or life insurance domain.
• Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and querying.
• Proficient in Python, particularly with libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with senior stakeholders effectively.
