Mid-Level QA Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are recruiting a QA Engineer remote to join a high-growth digital platform business. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a lean, internationally distributed team focused on building transaction-heavy products used across multiple markets. As a QA Engineer remote, you will play a crucial role in improving release quality, identifying issues early, and strengthening testing practices across customer-facing journeys, integrations, and internal tooling.

What You'll Do

• Conduct manual and exploratory testing across new features, workflows, and releases before production deployment.
• Identify edge cases, unusual behaviors, and potential failure points that may not be covered elsewhere.
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains stable following updates.
• Test end-to-end transactional journeys, integration points, and customer-facing features across different regions and environments.
• Produce clear, structured bug reports with replication steps, testing context, and expected versus actual outcomes.
• Create and maintain test cases for business-critical workflows.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, documentation, and overall testing standards as the function evolves.
• Partner closely with developers during feature development and pre-release stages to provide accurate and timely testing feedback.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in manual QA within a live product environment.
• Comfortable working in agile, fast-paced teams with a strong sense of ownership.
• Experience writing and maintaining test cases, defect logs, and QA documentation using tools such as JIRA, Linear, Notion, or similar.
• Confident testing web-based products across browsers, devices, and responsive environments.
• Familiarity with API testing tools and browser developer tools for validation and troubleshooting.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to payments, fintech, digital assets, or other high-volume transaction environments.
• Basic scripting knowledge in Python or JavaScript for light automation, test data preparation, or tooling support.
