Test Automation Engineer - Remote Position at Anduril Industries

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team at Anduril Industries. As a Test Automation Engineer remote, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering test systems for our electronic products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead the definition of end-of-line test plans for new products and features, collaborating closely with firmware, software, and hardware design teams.
• Determine test strategies that optimize product safety, reliability, and risk mitigation.
• Design and execute tests for PCBA and electrical system components, including hands-on testing and rework as necessary.
• Analyze data and communicate results clearly, collaborating with design engineers to resolve product issues identified during testing.
• Design and implement next-generation test automation hardware systems for fast and repeatable testing.
• Oversee the purchasing, building, integration, and commissioning of functional testers.
• Develop test procedures and automation from component to system level.
• Support board bring-up and bench validation as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience in designing functional test equipment.
• 2+ years of experience in Schematic Capture and/or PCBA layout, with Altium Designer experience being a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as C/C++/C#, Python, or MATLAB.
• Experience with communication bus protocols including USB, I2C, Ethernet, SPI, and others.
• Understanding of lab safety protocols and familiarity with measurement analysis techniques.
• Experience with source code revision and control, preferably using GitHub.
• Clearance eligibility is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with RF test equipment and testing RF components.
• Detail-oriented with a strong collaborative spirit.
