Senior Batch Developer - Remote Opportunity in Healthcare

What You'll Do

• Code, test, debug, implement, and document moderately complex programs as a Senior Batch Developer (Remote).
• Analyze, design, and write specifications and requirements for program development.
• Evaluate existing systems and assist project managers in task assignments.
• Liaise with clients and management for technical consulting on complex programming projects.
• Develop test plans and participate in QA activities, including code reviews.
• Lead a small sub-team of developers as needed, promoting collaboration and innovation.
• Participate in production support activities, requiring 24/7 availability during on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of applications development and batch programming experience using UNIX, Linux, C, and SQL.
• Preferred expertise in Claims, Pharmacy point of sale, and EDI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for program design and testing.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience with the full software development life cycle.
• Familiarity with healthcare technologies and systems.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (0-10%).
