Senior Backend Software Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team remotely. As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our platform, which is dedicated to ensuring payment integrity for health payers. You will collaborate with a talented engineering team from the USA, contributing to both backend and frontend development using technologies like Node.js and Angular.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain features using Angular and Node.js (Express).
• Contribute to backend services and system architecture where applicable.
• Strengthen the team's backend expertise and engineering maturity.
• Collaborate with engineering and ETL teams on integrations and data-related workflows.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve system scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Share knowledge and support other engineers when needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience in backend development.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and Angular.
• Previous or current experience with .NET / C#.
• Experience designing and implementing backend services or APIs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex systems.
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2+) or higher.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience working with healthcare systems or regulated environments.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
• Mentorship or technical leadership experience.
