Senior Backend Software Engineer - AI-Driven Analytics

About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our core engineering team. This Senior Backend Software Engineer remote position is ideal for engineers who enjoy designing backend systems, building reliable integrations, and owning features from concept to production. You will help shape the technical foundation of an analytics platform where reliability, scalability, and correctness truly matter.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data models that support analytics and AI-driven workflows.
• Ensure data integrity, correctness, and performance across the platform.
• Own features end-to-end, from schema design through delivery, collaborating with frontend engineers to ensure accurate UX behavior.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party platforms (CRMs, communication tools, internal systems).
• Write clean, testable, production-quality code while continuously improving performance, scalability, and system health.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
• Proven ability to ship features independently and solid understanding of APIs, databases, schema design, and performance tradeoffs.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, and React for light frontend contributions.
• Comfort operating in small teams with evolving architecture and strong problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with analytics pipelines or large datasets.
• Familiarity with Python and AI/ML-adjacent services.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred) and exposure to background jobs, queues, and event-driven systems.
