What You'll Do

• Lead the design and implementation of backend features, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Own the architecture of EPI’s cloud-based microservices, focusing on security and operational support.
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to provide backend expertise and guidance on API usage.
• Drive strategic backend platform decisions that align with product requirements and future growth.
• Ensure high code quality standards and best practices for maintainable services.
• Participate in cross-team discussions to represent backend perspectives and ensure consistent practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 5 years in backend development.
• Proven experience in building scalable system architectures and REST API design.
• Proficiency in core backend technologies such as Kotlin, Ktor, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and adaptability to changing project needs.
• Ability to implement effective automated tests and maintain clear technical documentation.

Nice to Have

• Experience in implementing UI/UX or frontend components.
• Familiarity with Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services.
• Understanding of user-centric design principles.
