What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain the control plane that powers hundreds of dynamic developer sandboxes.
• Develop backend tooling and services that automate sandbox creation, orchestration, and lifecycle management.
• Productize and provide infrastructure as a platform including databases, caches, object storage, and queuing systems.
• Scale and tune the Kubernetes cluster to provide capacity for volatile workloads, ensuring optimal performance.
• Implement and evolve observability within sandboxes, partnering with the Sandboxes SRE team to ensure uptime and reliability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong back-end engineering skills with expertise in API design, Postgres, and Kafka/Nats.
• Proficiency in Node.js, Go, or Python.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes, including creating tools, controllers, or operators.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.

Nice to Have

• Experience building internal developer platforms or Kubernetes operators.
• Production experience with Postgres Operators.
• Multi-region and multi-cloud experience.
