Senior Application Security Engineer - Remote

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Application Security Engineer to join our remote team at RevenueCat. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the security of our products, which are used by top-tier applications worldwide. As a Senior Application Security Engineer remote, you will collaborate with engineering teams and external partners to maintain a high standard of security while supporting a fast-paced development culture.

What You'll Do

• Participate in security code and system reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments to enhance our security posture.
• Support the Bug Bounty program by helping teams triage, prioritize, and fix security issues.
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure security teams to improve overall security practices.
• Develop frameworks and automation tools that make security practices easy and enjoyable for developers.
• Identify and address common security flaws in both web and mobile app environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Application Security Engineer remote with a deep understanding of security flaws and mitigation strategies.
• Experience with security tools and services such as SAST tools and proxies.
• Familiarity with AI security risks, including prompt injection and other emerging threats.
• Experience securing mobile SDKs (iOS/Android) and backend services (Python) is highly valued.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to security challenges.

Nice to Have

• Experience with agile methodologies and a passion for continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of LLMs and AI coding tools and their implications for security.
• Experience in building security frameworks that are easy to adopt.
