About the Role

What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end delivery of IT and security audits, covering cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), security operations, and blockchain systems.
• Drive AI-enabled audit execution by implementing data analytics and automation solutions to modernize audit processes.
• Coordinate audits aligned with the multi-year IT and security audit roadmap, ensuring compliance with Coinbase's enterprise risk profile.
• Produce high-quality, risk-based findings and executive-level reports for senior management.
• Build trusted relationships with technology and security leadership across various departments.
• Manage multiple audits and initiatives across time zones with minimal oversight.
• Evaluate and develop talent within the audit team, fostering a high-performing environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT/security internal audit or technology risk roles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and security configurations.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, or AI tools applied to audit or security work.
• Relevant professional certifications (CISA, CISSP, CIA, CISM) are required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex findings clearly.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and managing direct reports.

Nice to Have

• Experience auditing blockchain infrastructure or crypto custody systems.
• Familiarity with GRC platforms or custom audit automation tooling.
• Knowledge of crypto-specific regulatory frameworks.
